Stories from along the Ohio & Erie Canalway
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”
– Margaret Mead (1901-1978)
The Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition has been dedicated to developing the Towpath Trail, connector trails and communities across Summit, Stark and Tuscarawas Counties since 1989. In that time, the organization has worked with more than 150 community partners to create lasting relationships and encourage positive change.
The Towpath Trail Blog is dedicated to recognizing those relationships rich in culture and history. Here, you will find stories about trail development, community and more, written by those closest to the projects. You’ll also find updates about the work of the Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition and our partners across the Ohio & Erie Canalway National Heritage Area in Summit, Stark and Tuscarawas Counties.
